Sanseveria “Snake Plant”

Artsy, funky, clean and minimalistic, Sansevierias deliver the perfect accent for the right place. Native to West Africa and the Congo, some call it the snake plant or mother-in-law’s tongue. It has sword-shaped leaves, yellow edges and pointy ends.

Our Sansevierias come installation-ready, which includes a sparkling sterling, light gray, classic container.  As a low-mid-light floor plant with a spicy personality, all it needs is a perfect Chicago home. Durable and indestructible, it delivers form and function.

This is a very durable plant that can withstand abuse, neglect or travel-associated abandonment. The Sanseveria has water-retention abilities that other plants lack. So be sure to avoid overwater. (You can learn more about overwatering here.) As such, keep the soil dryer than most others and try to avoid watering the leaf rosette area. Leaves can be poisonous for dogs and cats.
